Black Box and Knürr GmbH will jointly introduce an innovative Integrated Mobile Command & Control Centre (IMCC) at Milipol Paris 2025. This new offering aims to enhance operational capabilities for security organizations requiring rapid deployment and robust command infrastructure in various challenging environments.
The unveiling is scheduled to occur during Milipol Paris 2025, which will take place from November 18-21 in Paris. Attendees will have the opportunity to see demonstrations of the IMCC at Hall 5, booth D167.
Advancing Mobile Command and Control Capabilities
The Integrated Mobile Command & Control Centre is designed to provide a complete, self-contained command hub that can be transported and set up quickly. It integrates advanced technologies from both Black Box and Knürr, a company specializing in modular infrastructure.
The IMCC is housed within a standard 20-foot container, making it compatible with commercial transport logistics. This compact design does not compromise on functionality, incorporating essential elements such as power distribution, climate control, secure connectivity solutions, and ergonomic operator consoles. Additionally, it features its own independent data center.
The reported lead time for deployment is approximately 15 weeks from the time of order, a significant reduction compared to traditional fixed command centers. This rapid deployment capability is crucial for time-sensitive security operations, including border control, drone detection systems, and emergency response coordination.
Target Applications and Market Shift
The IMCC is specifically tailored for high-security applications where mobility and rapid responsiveness are paramount. Its features are intended to support sophisticated operations such as monitoring critical infrastructure and managing large-scale events.
In contrast to older, more cumbersome command units, the IMCC emphasizes agility and modularity. This approach allows security forces to adapt to rapidly changing operational demands and deploy command capabilities precisely where and when they are needed, a trend observed in many modern security sectors.
Manuel Witzke, Sales Director EMEA at Black Box, highlighted the critical importance of mobility in contemporary operations. He stated, “This solution delivers the performance and security of a fixed command centre – wherever operations need it.” Witzke added that the company is looking forward to presenting this solution with Knürr at Milipol Paris.
The development and introduction of the IMCC reflect a broader market trend towards flexible and on-demand infrastructure for mission-critical tasks. This allows organizations to maintain operational effectiveness without the constraints of permanent installations.
The specific capabilities and performance metrics of the IMCC will be further detailed during Milipol Paris 2025. The industry will be watching to see how this new mobile command solution addresses the evolving needs of global security agencies.
