Darktrace has announced the establishment of a new legal entity and a forthcoming office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to bolster its presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) cybersecurity market. This expansion signifies a strategic move to enhance its service capabilities and customer engagement within the Kingdom and the broader region.
The new Riyadh office is slated to open in January 2026 and will be situated in the prominent Kingdom Centre. This physical presence is intended to facilitate improved customer support and technical engagement for Darktrace’s growing clientele. The company also recently joined the Saudi British Joint Business Council (SBJBC), aiming to strengthen business ties between the UK and Saudi Arabia.
Darktrace Strengthens Saudi Arabia Cybersecurity Focus
The expansion into Saudi Arabia by Darktrace is a significant development for the cybersecurity landscape in the region. By establishing a dedicated legal entity and a physical office, Darktrace signals its commitment to addressing the escalating digital threats faced by businesses and government entities in Saudi Arabia.
This strategic initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the nation’s economy and embrace digital transformation. As the Kingdom prepares to host major international events such as the AFC Asian Cup, Asian Winter Games, and World Expo, the demand for robust cybersecurity solutions is paramount to protect critical infrastructure and sensitive data.
AI-Driven Cybersecurity Solutions
Darktrace leverages its proprietary Self-Learning AI technology to provide advanced cybersecurity solutions. This technology enables organizations to detect and respond to sophisticated cyber threats across diverse digital environments, including email systems, cloud infrastructures, and on-premises networks.
The company’s focus on AI-driven cybersecurity is particularly relevant in a market like Saudi Arabia, which is heavily investing in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence. The cybersecurity market in the region is projected for substantial growth.
“With Saudi Arabia investing more than $14.9 billion in AI and emerging technologies and its cybersecurity market set to grow at up to 13% annually, our presence in Riyadh ensures we can support organisations in one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving markets in the world,” said Nicole Eagan, Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor, Darktrace, in a statement. She added, “It’s another important step in Darktrace’s growth strategy as we continue to invest in markets where we see strong demand for AI-driven cybersecurity.”
The localized presence is expected to streamline deployment processes and foster deeper relationships with key industries such as oil, gas, and petrochemicals, sectors where Darktrace has already cultivated a strong market position. Currently, Darktrace serves 280 customers across the MENA region, and the new Riyadh office will serve as an additional touchpoint for these clients.
The establishment of this new entity and office is a proactive step by Darktrace to capitalize on the increasing cybersecurity needs of Saudi Arabia’s rapidly modernizing digital infrastructure. Further details regarding the specific services to be offered from the Riyadh office are anticipated as its opening in January 2026 approaches.
