In her new capacity, Heba Sayed’s mandate is to assist organizations within the IMETA region in navigating the complexities of evolving cybersecurity threats. Sayed brings over two decades of experience in the technology marketing landscape. Her career trajectory includes significant roles in sales, product management, channel development, and regional leadership. She has a proven track record of shaping brand narratives and increasing market visibility at major industry events, such as GITEX and Black Hat MEA, across the Middle East and Africa.
Prior to her current role, Sayed held senior positions at prominent technology firms, including a 15-year tenure at IBM. She also contributed to business development initiatives at TE Data and IT Ventures. A graduate of the American University in Cairo, she commenced her career at eKnowledge, where she spearheaded marketing and business development efforts.
Record of Growth and Strategic Impact
During her time at IBM, Sayed advanced to the role of Strategy Leader, Hybrid Cloud and AI, where she provided crucial support to government clients across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). In this role, she managed substantial marketing budgets, refined go-to-market strategies, and consistently delivered strong return on investment. Her efforts resulted in notable revenue growth in Systems Hardware, Commerce, and SaaS, alongside significant increases in marketing-attributed growth.
Following her departure from IBM, Sayed joined LogRhythm Exabeam, bringing her considerable expertise in channel strategies, AI, marketing, communications, public relations, cybersecurity, and sales. She previously served as Head of Marketing & Communications for Exabeam in IMETA, where she was instrumental in strengthening the company’s standing as an industry leader in cybersecurity. Under her previous leadership, Exabeam experienced a fourfold increase in revenue derived from marketing-driven opportunities in 2025 compared to the preceding year.
The January 2026 appointment as Director of Marketing & Communications for IMETA signifies a broadened scope of responsibility.
